User-generated content: Reviews, scores, pros and cons, and game suggestions you submit are stored and displayed publicly on the site.

Cookies: We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your login session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the IndieScout website and services
  • Maintain and authenticate your account
  • Display your reviews and community contributions

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Third-Party Services

IndieScout uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and user management
  • Vercel — website hosting and deployment
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS SES) — transactional email delivery

Each of these providers has their own privacy policies and data handling practices. We encourage you to review their policies for more information.

6. User Content and Public Information

Reviews, scores, and game suggestions you submit are publicly visible to all visitors of IndieScout. Your username is displayed alongside your reviews. Please do not include personal information in your reviews or usernames that you would not want to be publicly visible.

You may delete your reviews at any time from your profile page.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, please contact us at the email address below.

Deleted reviews are removed from public display immediately. Server logs may be retained for up to 90 days for security purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

IndieScout is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to access the personal data we hold about you
  • The right to request correction of inaccurate data
  • The right to request deletion of your data
